The final is a Si-fi energy resilient theatrical play that travels as to 2050 were the natural environment has reached extinction. Global totalitarianism is established under the name “SEZ” (Special Economic Zones) for half billion people that populate the disserted earth.
A family of four members is leaving in the “Microcosms Zone” where SEZ offers them- through taxes- basic shelter (a geodesic dome), one hour energy per day and some food and water. The father of the family- which is a football fun- wins an offer for watching the SEZ football final through the renting of an Energy cycler: A SEZ worker that is cycling in real time in order to produce energy for the consumers of the Microcosms zone.
While the family’s microcosm is lit by the energy cycler, the family’s Pandora’s box opens by the eleven year old daughter that provokes with her actions and ideas, and demands a better future for her and her seven year old brother.
The story so far:
The first theatrical play I wrote was in to 2013, called “The Spirit (or family matters). An energy resilient play”. It won a distinction in the workshop of dramaturgy for the French and Greek platform of contemporary dramaturgy. It was the first form of what is now titled The Final (Exempli Gratia). The video that follows is from the presentation of the play in the theater of Vyrsodepsio.
